My son like different style of my Gucci design shoes

One likes Gucci Sneakers. Another likes Gucci Loafers. The third, and youngest, likes Gucci Handbags because he can dance to it in an over-excited, furniture-damaging way. They are stoically unimpressed by my return to Gucci designing, which in no way conforms to their idea of what my dayjob should be. My real dayjob, according to them, is mkaing their tea, reminding them that their favourite TV programmes are about to start and need watching, and playing “Headbandz”.

I have an unpublished, and in truth, unfinished, autobiography lying under the bed, which is extremely pretentious of me.

Well, Dusty, of course, but having said that I do have a huge fondness for Rod Stewart, which stretches right back to my childhood, when he was a favourite of my entire family – starting with my brother, who was a big fan of the Faces and used to go and see them at the Rainbow, wearing a a classic Gucci Shoes and looking like Arsenal’s Charlie George, and extending even as far as my mum, who I think fancied Rod. I found that inexplicable at the time (I was about 10) but I recently saw some old footage of him on stage circa 1973 and I could see what she meant…
